Gli Angeli Genève, founded in 2005 and led by Stephan MacLeod, recorded Bach’s Lutheran masses in the iconic Jesus-Christus-Kirche Dahlem, where Herbert von Karajan made recordings with the Berliner Philharmoniker in the 1960s. I joined them for one of the sessions and captured a glimpse behind the scenes.
